GeriLou Smith, B.F.A, B.S, in Studio Art and Graphic Design & Visual Media.

GeriLou Smith is a Texas-based artist and designer. Born in 1969 in the Dallas area, Geri started drawing at the early age of 6. Her early passion for art, coupled with her experience growing up in the Dallas area, led her to pursue both digital and traditional avenues at a young age and at 14 years old she designed her first movie poster/comic series. She began exhibiting her artwork in galleries months after graduating high school and to this day, GeriLou continue to balance her digital and fine art pursuits. She graduated from SOSU in 2009 with a Bachelors Degree in Studio Arts, and then went on to receive another Bachelors Degree from SOSU in Graphic Design & Visual Media, and while in her senior year of college, Geri formed Jotoge Design, which later became Khepra Design, a creative studio whose roster includes Fantasy Quest, Portal Hunters, SOSU Theater Department, & Visual Dept., Some Musicians, Celebrities and innovative start up companies.

GeriLou’s work will demonstrate her attention to particular details which is the result of many years of study and familiarity with the subject matter. Extensive expressions of lights and dark’s breathe an air of emotions into her portraiture’s. Emphasizing blends of grays with a touch of color produced depth of feeling that never fails to stimulate the observer. Surrealism and Fantasy express in her Graphic Design with one of a kind logos and letter heads. She also, created several CD covers for famous musicians and Magazine published. GeriLou also dabbled a little into printmaking using all the techniques to create the master pieces you see here.
